Danielle Barker, a 13 year old Ken Caryl resident, was seriously injured when she was hit by a Cadillac in front of her school. The girl was in a designated crosswalk at the time she was hit and the accident is still being investigated.

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009September 21, 2009 – 60-year old Casey E. Najera of Boulder was riding his bicycle at the intersection of 28th Street and Violet Avenue in Boulder when he was struck and killed by a vehicle who turned left in front of him. Najera, who was wearing a helmet, hit the car and was thrown from his bike. The driver of the car didn’t see Mr. Najera, and was cited for careless driving resulting in death.
